Who am I?

I'm Brittani Farrington, and I’ve been pursuing the call to love our immigrant neighbors since 2015. I’ve co-founded a catering company with Syrian refugee women, was on the founding team of a home-hosting network for asylum seekers, worked as the Discipleship Coordinator for Women of Welcome, and presently am working as a liaison between my church and our local immigration law nonprofit. I’m a Michigan mom, philosophy professor's wife, and someone who believes Christians are called to care for immigrants regardless of how we vote. I started Neighbor Notes upon the encouragement of dear friends because even those of us who deeply believe that Jesus calls us to care for immigrants feel overwhelmed at what to do in light of a deeply polarized world.

Here's the thing: Both political sides have been trying to prove they're "tougher" on immigration. But what if we focused on being more faithful instead?

My promise to you

  • Week-daily emails that respect your time

  • Focus on what you CAN do, not what you can't

  • Practical faith in action

We're a small community here, and I'd love to know I'm not sending these into the void. Drop a comment when you pray or take action – it really encourages me!

Immigration conversations and decisions are happening with or without us. Let’s not let it be without us.

Love to you all,

Brittani
